Cruising

Cruising remains a core element of our activities: (24 members or families have yachts). From our usual cruising grounds of The Summer Isles, West Coast and Islands, the club’s footprint is Transatlantic, Arctic and Scandinavian.

Cruising in company happens in June and July and also ‘meet-ups’ with boats coming together. The season is bracketed by a ‘shakedown’ in May and a ‘Storm Cruise’ in September. In August the annual ‘Campbells trophy” sees a large proportion of the club yachts compete in a dash from Ullapool to Isle Martin. Individual skippers often welcome additional crew .
